Flora’s Walk Fundraiser

From now until May 31st, individuals and teams will raise funds for perinatal mental health programming across Canada

  • Less than 15% of individuals in Canada receive treatment

  • Canada does not have a national perinatal mental health strategy

  • 97% of health practitioners surveyed believe perinatal mental health care in Canada is insufficient

What Is Flora’s Walk?

Flora’s Walk is named after Canadian mother, Flora, who tragically lost her life in 2022 to undetected and undiagnosed and untreated postpartum psychosis.

Perinatal period occurs from conception to one year postpartum (and beyond). During this time, 1 in 5 mothers and 1 in 10 fathers struggle with perinatal mental health issues, including:

  • Prenatal and postpartum depression

  • Anxiety disorders

  • Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)

  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

  • Panic disorder

  • Bipolar disorder

  • Psychosis

Since 2022, Flora’s Walk has helped:

  • Support 100+ organizations across Canada

  • Fund free and low-cost therapy and support groups

  • Keep all raised funds within Canada

Impact on the Community

What’s especially unique about Flora’s Walk is that the majority of funds raised by teams stay in local communities. Organizations involved in perinatal mental health work in Canada (charities, non-profits, private) can apply to raise funds for local perinatal mental health programming and start their own team.

In continuing our commitment to perinatal mental health through Flora’s Walk, we are honoured to support Oasis Fertility Support Network and the incredible work their team does to provide specialized care and meaningful support to those facing fertility and perinatal mental health challenges.

Oasis Fertility Support Network

Oasis Fertility Support Network was born from a dream: that no one should have to carry the weight of infertility alone. Founded by individuals who have walked this path, Oasis understands the emotional, physical, relational, and financial toll fertility struggles can take.

Oasis Fertility Support Network exists to create an inclusive community where anyone facing fertility challenges can find hope, empowerment and the support they need to navigate their fertility journey. Their vision is creating an ever-growing village that provides anyone experiencing fertility challenges with a supportive community where they feel empowered to pursue their dream of building a family.

Oasis’ offers peer-led, cost-free support groups for individuals navigating fertility treatment, adoption, surrogacy, and life after infertility with and without a child. Beyond groups, Oasis provides free resources including The Fertility Journal, a podcast, and a biweekly live talk show, all designed to reduce isolation and remind people their story matters.

Join us in supporting the incredible work of Oasis Fertility Support Network. Your donation helps bring care, hope, and resources to those who need it most.
